Caroline and her relative, Masaru Shimabukuro (BEGIN), have started a new collaboration using their family name “Shimabukuro ” (shima=island, bukuro=bag) to form their project name, Island Bag.
Stars in the Sand, their debut EP, comes out today! Caroline sings English covers of Uminokoe, and Nada Sou Sou. Other covers include Something (Beatles) and Caroline’s debut single, Where’s My Love. The remaining four tracks- Hajimari, Okinawa Sunshine, Celebrate, and Golden Sea- are originals.
